Vancouver Fitness Certification Workshops

Inshape Training offers workshops year round for students and the general public.  We encourage everyone to learn new information and promote knowing about the latest, most relevant topics.  Fitness students will also earn continuing education credits (CEC's) approved by both BCRPA and CFES.

Test Prep Workshop

The Test Prep workshop is designed to help students study for their BCRPA Fitness Theory exam or CFES National exams.  It will cover the main components from the Fitness Theory course and will help refresh your memory on the essential basics, which are covered in every BCRPA or CFES closed book exam.  When you register, you will be emailed a PDF file with several fill-in-the-blank sheets (reviewing the skeletal system, muscular system and joint actions) along with 60 short answer questions.  Once complete, email your answers to info@inshapetraining.net for marking.  We will return your results within 1-2 business days along with corrections, feedback and certificate of completion.
 
If you need to purchase the CFES Fitness Theory manual, please let us know so that we can adjust the price accordingly.
If you are going to take the BCRPA Fitness Theory exam, please contact them directly to schedule an exam writing date. 
If you are going to take a CFES National exam, please contact us to check when the next scheduled exam writing date is taking place.

Corrective Exercises for the Ankle & Foot

This workshop is the follow up to the Mobility-Stability Workshop and is open to all trainers and fitness professionals. This interactive workshop will provide a method of assessment and training for various foot and ankle impairments. Find out why a locked up ankle will affect your squat technique, how important your big toe is to walking, and much more! You will leave with powerful strategies to help your clients maximize their foot and ankle function and be able to assess their progress.  A few years ago, Brian himself suffered a bad ankle injury so this workshop is near and dear to his heart.
If you own a foam roller, myofascial stick, and/or lacrosse ball, please bring it with you. The RAD Roller or Trigger point products are highly recommended for this workshop.

Mitochondria: Strength, Energy and Healthy Brain Function

Veronica Yoo is back and super excited to share her knowledge on the most important element in human health: mitochondria, the “powerhouse” of the cell that creates energy while using oxygen and nutrients from food. The cells in the brain, heart, nerves, muscles and organs all have higher concentrations of mitochondria and when they are working well, they help reduce fatigue, pain and cognitive problems while supporting muscle mass and burning excess fat. 
In this workshop you will learn the basics of mitochondria, strategies for optimizing mitochondria for brain protection and anti-aging, how to reduce pain, increase energy, create a therapeutic food plan and much more.  There will be plenty of time for Q & A at the end of the workshop as well. You don't want to miss this one!
